We are looking for a co-op student to join our team for 4-8 months. We are accepting applicants who have a background in anthropology, Indigenous studies, history, or geography. Trailmark Cloud is an all-in-one innovative toolkit used by Indigenous communities to protect and manage their heritage and traditional territories. This includes a customizable digital archive that can store unstructured multi-media information and link text to locations. Trailmark consulting offers trans-disciplinary support in a wide range of areas such as community-based research and traditional use studies, with the intention of building capacity and partnering with our clients in their goals and endeavors. Our small and ambitious team includes software developers, geographers, environmental scientists, cultural historians, traditional use specialists, and GIS analysts. We work with Indigenous communities across Canada, with much of our work of late focused on BC’s South Coast and the Arctic. With Trailmark, you will receive mentorship and real-world experience in the cultural and historical research aspects of this work.
